Not a whole lot has changed regarding tomorrow’s weather, but I have seen a slight warmer trend in the models. I am not expecting tomorrow morning to present too many issues with temperatures likely remaining only a degree or two below freezing. Based off the modeling data, there is a fairly good consensus that 0.1-0.3 QPF will fall before noon. I have high confidence that anything that falls before 9 am will likely be in the form of snow. After that, warm air aloft will move giving a small window for sleet and freezing rain. This will result in a trace-dusting of snow with a few hundredths of an inch of ice. The temperatures will slowly move above freezing up to the middle 40’s by the late evening hours.

Friday’s storm is looking much more impacting. There has been a good trend for snow lovers; there also looks like a potential for some freezing rain as well. Regardless, there is a lot to go over for the end of the week, and I will have an in depth blog in the next 2 days. There is a good chance someone will end up with 10 inches of snow between Topeka and Columbia…

Stay tuned!

Jack
